FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Everything dry cleaners and laundry owners usually ask before they switch to KIWIKIT.

Product

What is dry cleaning management software?

Dry cleaning management software replaces the notebook, paper slips and spreadsheets at a dry cleaning or laundry counter. It records each order and the garments in it, tracks every garment through cleaning, produces the bill and receipts, keeps customer balances and tells customers when their clothes are ready. KIWIKIT Dry Cleaners ERP does all of this in one browser-based system.

What is a dry cleaning ERP?

A dry cleaning ERP connects the counter, the cleaning floor, billing, customer communication, staff access and reporting in one system instead of separate tools. In KIWIKIT, the order taken at the counter drives garment tags, staff work queues, the bill, WhatsApp updates to the customer, outstanding balances and the reports the owner sees.

Who is KIWIKIT for?

Independent dry cleaners, laundry and wash-and-iron shops, garment care and saree polishing businesses, and laundry businesses with several branches. It works by piece or by weight (KG), so it suits both dry cleaning counters and laundry shops.

Do I need to install anything?

No. KIWIKIT runs in a web browser on a Windows PC, laptop, tablet or phone. You need an internet connection; there is no offline mode. Label and receipt printers can print from the browser, connect directly over USB or Bluetooth, or through the KIWIKIT print agent on Windows.

Which languages does KIWIKIT support?

The full interface is available in English, Hindi and Marathi, and each user can switch language. Bills can also be printed with Marathi templates.

Orders, garments & customers

How can a dry cleaner track customer orders?

Every order gets an order number and every garment gets its own QR tag. Staff scan a garment's QR to move it to the next stage. The order moves from Received to In Cleaning to Ready for Pickup to Delivered, and you can put an order on hold with a reason. The order list shows every stage, overdue orders and the expected delivery date.

Can customers track their order status themselves?

Yes. Each order has a private tracking link that shows its status, the bill amount, how much has been paid and the balance. The link can be sent to the customer on WhatsApp automatically.

What WhatsApp messages does KIWIKIT send?

Once your shop's WhatsApp sender is connected, KIWIKIT can send automatic messages when an order is received (with a PDF receipt), when cleaning starts, if it is put on hold, when it is ready for pickup, when it is handed over or cancelled, and when a payment or refund is recorded. Message templates are editable, and each branch can send from its own number.

Can I record garment condition at intake?

Yes. Each garment line can carry inspection tags (such as stains or missing buttons), a condition note, colour and fabric, and you can attach photos to the order. This gives you a record if there is a dispute later.

Can I hand over part of an order?

Yes. Garments that are finished can be handed over before the rest of the order is ready. KIWIKIT tracks what has been delivered and what is still with you, along with any balance due.

Billing & payments in your shop

How can laundry businesses manage billing?

In KIWIKIT the order is the bill. Rates come from your rate card (normal and urgent rates for each garment and service, by piece or by KG). The bill can be generated automatically when the last garment is finished, or manually. Advances, part-payments, discounts and refunds are recorded as receipts, and unpaid amounts appear in receivables and the customer ledger.

Which payment modes can I record?

Cash, UPI, card, bank transfer, cheque and other. An order can have several receipts, and receipts can be voided with a reason.

What can I print?

58 mm and 80 mm thermal receipts and bills, A4 and A5 bills (including Marathi templates), and garment tags with a QR code for every piece. A visual designer lets you change the layout of your print templates.

Pricing, trial & subscription

Is there a free trial?

Yes — 3 days with every feature of the paid plan and no payment details needed. When the trial ends your shop is locked until you choose a plan.

How much does KIWIKIT cost?

₹1,499 for 3 months, or ₹4,999 for a year (about ₹417 a month, saving ₹997 against paying quarterly). Both plans include exactly the same features. Businesses that need more users or a guided rollout across many branches can ask for a custom quote.

How many users and branches are included?

Every plan includes 4 staff users and 1 branch. Add extra users anytime at ₹83 per user per month. Running several branches or a bigger team? Tell us how you work and we'll quote it. There are no limits on orders, customers or garment history.

How do I pay for my subscription?

Online through Cashfree Payments — UPI, debit and credit cards, net banking and wallets. Access is extended only after the payment is verified with Cashfree. If you renew early, the new days are added to the time you have left.

What is your refund policy?

If you are not satisfied within 7 days of your first paid subscription, contact us for a full refund. Renewals can be refunded if you contact us within 7 days of the renewal date. The full terms are on the Refund & Cancellation Policy page.

Setup & support

How long does setup take?

You can sign up and start taking orders the same day. New shops start with a ready-made rate card of common garments and services (shirts, trousers, sarees, suits and more), default staff roles and print templates, which you can edit to match your prices.

Can I bring in my existing customer list?

Send us your customer list as an Excel sheet and our team will help you bring it in. There is no self-service import screen yet.

How do I get support?

On WhatsApp or phone at +91 84595 74080 (Mon–Sat · 9 AM to 8 PM IST), by email at kiwisofttechwork@gmail.com, or by raising a help ticket from inside the app.

Security & data

Is my business data safe?

Each shop has its own separate database, so your data never mixes with another business. Owners control what each role can see and do, can restrict users to specific IP addresses, see active sessions and sign devices out, review a login report and an audit trail, and lock staff out in an emergency.

How are backups handled?

KIWIKIT takes an automatic daily backup at the hour you choose, compresses it and encrypts it with AES-256-GCM. Backups can be stored in your own Google Drive or on the server, are kept for 7 days by default, and can be downloaded or restored.

What happens to my data if I stop using KIWIKIT?

Your data remains available for 90 days after your subscription ends, as set out in our Refund & Cancellation Policy. You can download your encrypted backup and export reports to Excel, and our team can help you move out.

Multi-branch

Can one ERP manage multiple laundry branches?

Yes. KIWIKIT runs multiple branches under one business — plans include one branch, and more are added when you open them. Each branch has its own order numbering, contact details and WhatsApp sender; orders and receipts are kept per branch; customers are shared across branches; and each user can be limited to the branches they work in. Owners switch between branches from one login.

Can I control what branch staff can do?

Yes. KIWIKIT comes with Owner, Manager, Counter Staff, Cleaner/Presser and Accountant roles, and you can create your own. Each role has its own menu, permissions, visible order stages, whether prices are shown and how long they can undo an action.
